Tour Plan
Begin with a pickup from your location in Arusha or Moshi and transfer to Tengeru, a bustling village known for its cultural richness. Upon arrival, receive a briefing and equipment check to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride. Start with a half-day tour of a local flower farm to learn about Tanzania’s thriving horticulture industry. After an early breakfast, embark on a 45 km cycling journey to Mererani. Discover the Tanzanite One mine, one of the few places worldwide where Tanzanite, Tanzania’s rare gemstone, is mined. Spend about two hours learning about the extraction process and the cultural importance of this gem. After a packed lunch en route, cycle back to Tengeru. Enjoy dinner and a restful night at Green Mountain Hotel. (Half Board)
After breakfast, head off on a scenic bike ride towards Arusha National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a guided nature walk with an armed ranger, allowing for close encounters with wildlife like giraffes and buffaloes, and visit the park’s stunning waterfalls. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the waterfall before cycling through the charming Momella villages on your way back to Tengeru. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Green Mountain Hotel.
